Country Farms Super Greens Review
Over the past two years, drink versions of superfoods have become all the rage. They offer a way to pack multiple types of superfood, into one daily serving. That’s not a bad way to go, as trying to eat a small portion of everything you know you should is a real chore!
One such company that’s recently entered the fold, is Country Farm Super Greens. Their drinks are designed to be taken daily and provide you with everything, from fruit and vegetable extracts, to sources rich in Omega 3 and some fibres.
As with most superfood extracts, Country Farms state that all their ingredients are organic.
The First Taste
I tried out Super Greens “Berry Flavour”, over the course of a week to see just how well it worked, and if it was something I could stick with long term. As with all these dietary supplements, the taste is just about the most important thing.
After all, if it tastes horrible, you’re never gonna stick to it!
I must say, that the berry flavour is quite nice, if a little sweet. The drink is not thick at all, and does down nicely. I got in touch with Country Farms, and they suggested that I also give the natural flavour a go, as it’s designed for people with savoury palates.
I love the natural flavour! It’s much more like a yoghurt than a fruit drink (although it’s still thin, the taste is the main change), and I probably should have picked it first!
I know from experience, that some health supplements taste awful! The natural version of Country Farm Greens is nice, give it a try first if you generally don’t like sweet things.
Country Farms Greens Benefits
This is where the Country Farms product really shines. They’ve packed so much into a relatively small drink!
Most super drinks tend to pack in one type of probiotic, typically a friendly bacterium that’s designed to improve digestion. Yet Super Farms have managed to pack in so much more!
That’s a serious amount of probiotic, and much more than you’d ever get in most superfoods! All these probiotics are scientifically proven to improve your gut, yet in different ways. By packing them all into one serving, you’re getting multiple benefits in one go.
Fruit & Vegetable Blends
Country Farms have not just added green vegetables to the drink, they’ve also been able to add raspberries, carrot, blueberry and a whole host of good stuff!
The important thing to note here, is that you’re getting a much more rounded intake of fruit and vegetables compared to some supplements. Ever wondered why nutritionists say you should eat 5 different types of fruit per day? Well, it’s because no two fruits are the same, and they’ll help give you different types of nutrients.
By packing in multiple fruit and vegetable blends, you’ll be well on your way to maximizing your intake of wholesome food extracts.
After A Week – My Thoughts
After 7 days taking the drink, I did feel slightly better. I’m not saying that Country Farms Super Greens is a miracle cure for all problems, yet it seemed to help my gut. I suffer quite frequently with IBS, and the symptoms were much reduced by the 5th and 6th day.
For that reason, I’m going to stick with the Super Greens after this review, trialling it for another month to see just how much better my IBS can get – Fingers Crossed!
Country Farms Super Green Reviews – VERDICT
Like most people, I was sceptical about taking a single drink that would pack in so many fruit and vegetable extracts. I was also worried about the taste, as I’d be reviewing this for a week!
Thankfully, the taste wasn’t an issue at all. The berry flavour was a little sweet for me, yet the natural was much more like drinking a quality yoghurt, nice! If you have a sweet tooth, try the berry first; however, if you’re like me, you’ll probably want to stick with the natural flavour.
As I said before, the main benefit I got after a week was a reduction in my IBS symptoms. I wondered whether this was the extreme blend of probiotics; whatever it was, it worked, making this drink worth a trial if you suffer too.
I didn’t feel much healthier or energetic whilst taking Super Greens; however, I already work out and try to eat healthy anyway (mostly due to my IBS). I’m guessing the drink will have a marked impact on someone who doesn’t eat enough veggies and needs to make a heathier change. At any rate, the improvement in my gut and bowels were enough to keep me going with it for the foreseeable future!
Overall, I was impressed with the whole package, and I’m going to keep drinking it to see just how good my IBS can get with it.
